Here are some photos of newborn lambs in May compared to what they look like today. The first is one of our unnamed ram lambs. The earlier photo was taken during his first nap immediately after his first meal. I am really impressed with the length of this ram - lots of tasty rib and loin meat. He's also got an impressive set of horns from a dam and 
sire with small scurs.
The second is one of our ewe lambs, Sonja. She is probably the only lamb we will keep as a breeder. Her distinctive pattern is called badgerface. We like this ewe because she has been fast growing, outpacing her twin, and because of her valuable, naturally colored fleece. These lambs are 13 weeks old, give or take a few days.
